[4.31] Patch - November 08, 2024

Fortanix Data Security Manager (DSM) 4.31.2499 release provides an overview of resolved issues.

WARNING
  • You are REQUIRED to upgrade Fortanix DSM to version 4.23 or 4.27 before upgrading to version 4.31.2499. If you want to upgrade to 4.31.2499 from an earlier version, please reach out to the Fortanix Support team.
  • Downgrade from 4.31.2499 to any version before 4.27 is not supported due to the Kubernetes version upgrade. Please reach out to Fortanix Support for downgrading to version 4.27.
NOTE
  • The Fortanix DSM cluster upgrade must be done with Fortanix Support on call. Please reach out to Fortanix support if you are planning an upgrade.
  • The customer's BIOS version must be checked by Fortanix Support before the Fortanix DSM software upgrade. If required, the BIOS version should be upgraded to the latest version and verified by Fortanix Support for a smooth upgrade.
  • If your Fortanix DSM version is 4.13 or later, then the HSM Gateway version must also be 4.13 or later. Similarly, if the HSM Gateway version is 4.13 or later, then your Fortanix DSM version must be 4.13 or later.

1. Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where users were prompted to enter their password twice when an expired session token was present during Fortanix DSM login (JIRA: ES-415).
  • Fixed an issue where Fortanix DSM users were unable to modify the hmg_redundancy field in a group after it was created (JIRA: ES-422).
  • Fixed an issue where copying the AES and RSA keys from a regular DSM group to an Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Data Control (CDC) group failed due to exceeding the Key Management Service (KMS) API rate limit (JIRA ES-435).
  • Fixed an issue where the latest version of the Chrome browser blocked users from scrolling through the list of Fortanix DSM UUIDs while performing a copy key operation (JIRA: ROFR-5109).
